　　Unit 9 My favorite subject is science.

　　1. What’s your favorite subject? 你最喜歡的學科是什么?=What subject do you like best?

　　My favorite subject is math. 我最喜歡的學科是數學。= I like math best.

　　1)What’s your favorite....? = What....do you like best?

　　My favorite.... is …. =　I like .... best.

　　2) favorite前一定要用形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格一起來修飾后面的名詞。不可根據漢語意思而用人稱代詞如I, He 等。

　　What’s Gina’s favorite subject? Gina最喜歡的學科是什么?

　　Her favorite subject is math. 她最喜歡的學科是數學。

　　3)favorite(美)亦可拼為favourite(英)

　　4)favorite n. 最喜歡的人或物(復數形式是favorites)

　　These clothes are my favorites.這些衣服是我最喜歡的。

　　Which color is your favorite? 哪種顏色是你最喜愛的?

　　2. Why do you like math? 你為什么喜歡數學?

　　Because it’s interesting. 因為它很有趣。

　　3. How’s your day? 今天過得如何? It’s OK.還行。 Great! 棒極了!

　　4. have + 學科：上某一學科的課。 have English 上英語課

　　have a class / lesson 上課

　　have breakfast / lunch / dinner 吃早飯 / 中飯/ 晚飯

　　have a soccer game 舉行足球比賽

　　have a school trip 開展校外活動

　　have a party 舉行派對;舉辦聚會

　　5. That’s for sure.的確如此。

　　6. be busy with sth / be busy doing sth 忙于做某事

　　I’m busy with my homework = I’m busy doing my homework 我在忙著做家庭作業。

　　He is busy writing a letter. 他在忙著寫信。

　　7. interesting / funny

　　Interesting“有意思的;有吸引力的”，指引起理性的或智慧的興趣。Funny“逗樂的;有趣的;使人快樂的”，強調“滑稽可笑的”

　　English is interesting.英語很有趣。

　　I find this book interesting. 我發現這本書很有意思。

　　This is a funny movie.這是一部搞笑的影片。

　　This game looks fun. 這個游戲看起來好玩。

　　8. from … to … “從……到……”，用來表述時間、地點等范圍。

　　from Monday to Friday 從周一到周五

　　from Beijing to Shanghai 從北京到上海

　　9. for + 一段時間：表(某個動作)持續了多長時間。

　　I played with him for two hours. 我和他玩了兩個小時。

　　10.Is that OK with you?那對你來說合適嗎?

　　補充：

　　1. It’s Tuesday, November 11. 今天是11月11日，星期二。

　　1)日期和星期同時表達時，通常先說星期后說日期。

　　2)句中it用來表示時間。

　　2. be strict with sb. 對某人要求嚴格

　　be strict in sth. 對某事(在某方面)要求嚴格

　　1)Our English teacher is very strict with us.我們的英語老師對我們要求很嚴格。

　　2)Our English teacher is very strict in our homework.

　　我們的英語老師對我們的家庭作業要求很嚴格。

　　3. play with....和……一起玩

　　4. look, see, watch, read

　　1)look為不及物動詞，指看的過程，不一定看見。后接賓語須加at。

　　2)see 用作及物動詞。后面直接接賓語。“看見，看到”強調看的結果。“看醫生”“看電影”常用這個詞。

　　①He looks at the blackboard, but can’t see the words.他看了看黑板，但看不見這個詞。

　　②see the doctor看醫生

　　③see a film/movie看電影

　　3)watch為及物動詞。“觀看，注視”指非常仔細全神貫注地看。“看電視”“看比賽”習慣用這個詞。

　　①watch TV看電視

　　②watch the football game看足球比賽

　　4)read本義為“讀，朗讀”，“看書，看報，看雜志”常用這個詞

　　read a book看書 read the e-mail 讀這封電子郵件 read a newspaper看報紙

　　5. 辨析interesting與interested

　　1) interesting可作表語，指某人/事/物本身有趣;也可作定語修飾人或物

　　① The book is interesting. 這書很有趣。 (作表語)

　　②I have an interesting book.我有本有趣的書。(作定語)

　　2) interested用于be/get/become interested in…(對……感興趣)這一結構中。

　　He is interested in playing football.他對踢足球感興趣。

　　6. on weekends在周末

　　7. play the guitar 彈吉他 play erhu拉二胡 play chess 下國際象棋 play soccer 踢足球

　　1)演奏某種樂器，樂器名詞前要用the(漢語拼音組成的名詞除外)

　　2)球類/棋類運動，名詞前不用冠詞

　　8. join / take part in 參加

　　join多指參加某個團體或組織，成為其中的一員。take part in多指參加某項活動，并在其中起一定的作用。

　　join the Party入黨 join the army參軍

　　take part in the meeting參加會議

　　join in(參加某項活動) = take part in

　　join sb.加入到某人當中 join us加入到我們當中

　　9. 辨析speak，say, talk, tell

　　1) speak“說”,“講話”。強調說的能力。

　　①作及物動詞，只能接某種語言作賓語：speak + 語言 “說某種語言”。

　　②作不及物動詞，“講話，發言” She is speaking.她正在講話/發言。

　　2)say“說”，后面跟說的內容。 I can say ABC.我會說ABC. say hello to sb.向某人問好。 say sorry to sb.向某人道歉。 say it in English用英語說(它)。

　　3)talk“談論，交談”。

　　①talk to sb.對某人說話 ② talk with sb同某人交談 ③ talk about/on… 談論……

　　4) tell“告訴，講述”。

　　① tell sb. sth. = tell sth. to sb. 告訴某人某事 ② tell sb. about sth.告訴某人關于某事

　　③ tell sb. to do sth.告訴某人去做某事

　　tell sb. not to do sth. 告訴某人不要做某事

　　④ tell a story 講故事 tell a lie 撒謊 tell the truth講實話

　　10. Help Wanted尋求幫助

　　wanted常用于招聘或啟事等的標題

　　Teachers Wanted招聘教師 Waiters Wanted招聘服務員

　　11. be good with sb 和某人相處得好(同義get on well with sb.)

　　be good to sb對某人好 My teacher is good to me.

　　be good for....對……有益 Learning English well is good for us.

　　be good at....擅長…… Lucy is good at English.

　　12. help

　　1) n. 幫助 U Thanks for your help.謝謝你的幫助。

　　2) v. 幫助

　　①help with sth. 幫著做某事 Please help with my homework.

　　②help sb. with sth.幫助某人(做)某事 Could you help me with my English?

　　③help sb.(to) do sth.幫助某人做某事Could you help me (to) learn English?

　　13.選擇疑問句：用or 連接的可供選擇的疑問句。回答選擇疑問句不能用yes 和no ,選擇什么答什么。讀選擇疑問句時，or前用升調，or后用降調。若選擇疑問句中有三個火三個以上并列部分，or用來連接最后一部分，前面并列部分用逗號隔開。

　　Can you play the piano, the trumpet, the drums, or the guitar?

　　你會彈鋼琴、吹喇叭、打鼓、還是彈吉他?

　　I can play the piano.我會彈鋼琴。

　　Which is the smallest, the sun, the moon or the earth? 哪一個是最小的，太陽，月亮還是地球?

　　14. 辨析little, a little, few, a few

　　1) little, a little修飾不可數名詞;few, a few修飾可數名詞。

　　2) little, few表否定含義“幾乎沒有”，a little, a few表肯定含義“一點兒，少量”

　　There is_________water in the cup. 杯子里有點水。

　　I know________English. 我幾乎不懂英語。

　　There are________apples on the table. 桌子上有幾個蘋果。

　　The stone is too heavy,________people can move it.

　　15. go to school 去上學 in hospital 在住院

　　go to the school去學校 in the hospital在醫院里

　　16. get up起床 go to bed 睡覺

　　17. what time / when

　　都可對時間進行提問，表示“什么時候”。what time用來詢問具體的時間點;when既可用來詢問具體的時間點，還可用于詢問時間段。

　　1)詢問動作發生的具體時間時，兩者可互換。

　　What time / When do you usually go to school? 你通常幾點去上學?

　　2)詢問鐘表示的具體時間時，只能用what time, 不能用when。

　　What time is it?幾點了?=What’s the time?

　　3)詢問年份、月份、日期等非點時間時，只能用when，不能用what time。

　　When is the Music Festival? 音樂節是什么時候?

　　18.感嘆句

　　感嘆句常用what和how引出強調部分，并放在句首，一般情況下，what修飾名詞，how修飾形容詞、副詞。

　　1)what感嘆句的結構為：

　　a / an + 形容詞 + 可數名詞單數

　　What + 形容詞 +可數名詞復數 + 主語 + 謂語 + 其他 !

　　形容詞 + 不可數名詞

　　①What a good boy he is!他是一個多么好的男孩啊!

　　②What an interesting book it is ! 多有趣的書啊 !

　　③What delicious broccoli (it is) !多好吃的花椰菜啊 !

　　④What beautiful flowers in the garden ! 花園中的花式多么美麗啊 !

　　2)how感嘆句的結構為：

　　How + 形容詞/副詞 + 主語 + 謂語 + 其他 !

　　How interesting the book is ! 這書多有趣啊 !

　　How beautiful the flowers in the garden are ! 花園中的花式多么美麗啊 !

　　How well he draws ! 他畫得多好啊 !

　　19.People love to listen to him! 人們喜歡聽他(演奏)。

　　1)people“人，人們”，集合名詞，沒有單數形式，作主語時，謂語動詞總是用復數。

　　The people there are teachers. 那兒的那些人是老師。

　　2)hear / listen to

　　listen to“聽……”強調“聽”的行為，不一定聽見;hear“聽見，聽到”，強調“聽”的結果。

　　①Please listen to me. 請聽我說。

　　②I can’t hear . 我聽不見。

　　20. Can you think what his job is? 你能想出他是做什么工作的嗎?

　　what his job is是think的賓語，因它也是一個句子，故稱賓語從句。賓語從句若是特殊疑問句，疑問詞后面的部分應用陳述句語序。

　　How old is he? Do you know how old he is?

　　What’s your name? I want to know what your name is.

　　21. best wishes致以最美好的祝愿

　　①best wishes to sb.向某人致以最美好的祝愿 Best wishes to you.向你致以最美好的祝愿。

　　②best wishes for + 節日 “致以……節日最美好的祝愿”

　　Best wishes to you for Teachers’ Day.向你致以教師節最美好的祝愿

　　22. 時刻表達法

　　1)順讀法：先說小時數，再說分鐘數。

　　8:00 eight (o’clock) 9:05 nine o five

　　7:15 seven fifteen 7:30 seven thirty

　　6:45 six forty-five 6:55 six fifty-five

　　2) 逆讀法：先說分鐘數，再說小時數

　　①分鐘數≤30用“分鐘數 + past + 小時數”來表達(即幾點過了幾分)

　　15分常用a quarter(一刻鐘,四分之一)來表示

　　30分常用half(半，一半)來表示

　　9:05 five past nine 8:24 twenty-four past eight

　　7:15 a quarter past seven (fifteen past seven)

　　7:30 half past seven (thirty past seven)

　　②分鐘數>30用“(60-分鐘數)+ to + (小時數+ 1)”來表達(即幾點差幾分)

　　7:31 twenty-nine to eight 8:45 a quarter to nine (fifteen to nine)
